Group Legal Affairs Director & Board Secretary

About the role

The Group Legal Affairs Director & Board Secretary will lead the legal function across Gemini Trading Group, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and supporting senior management in strategic decisions. This senior position reports directly to the executive team and serves as the primary liaison with law firms, government bodies, and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with law firms to obtain required legal advice and manage litigation.
• Assess legal aspects of defending or prosecuting lawsuits and coordinate follow‑up with relevant authorities.
• Oversee legal and Arabic translation of financial, commercial, and governmental documents.
• Build and maintain relationships with law firms, ministries, and regulatory agencies.
• Plan and manage the Legal Affairs Office in line with group requirements and UAE laws.
• Advise senior management on legal risks, liabilities, and compliance matters.
• Monitor new statutes and regulations, communicating impacts to relevant managers.
• Review, draft, and negotiate agreements, letters of credit, corporate guarantees, and merger/acquisition contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and a diploma in General Accounting.
• Minimum 9 years of legal experience, including at least 6 years in a senior counsel or head of legal role.
• Proven ability to lead a team of legal advisors.
• Experience in real estate, sales/purchase, and M&A agreements.
• Strong knowledge of UAE laws and regulations.
