Group Strategic Investments Manager

About the role

The Group Strategic Investments Manager leads the execution of workstreams covering mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, equity and debt capital market transactions, capital structure optimisation and others across the ADNOC group, while supporting its subsidiaries. The role also helps maintain an adequate investment governance framework and ensures projects follow relevant processes and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workstreams such as modelling, valuation, due diligence, project management and structuring, and oversee external consultants where needed
• Prepare marketing materials and present and advise on financial models to internal stakeholders, ensuring they are internally consistent and quality assured in line with Group Economic Evaluation Guidelines
• Support the development, revision and rollout of the Group's Investment Governance Policies and Framework, and keep the submission process to the investment committee smooth
• Liaise with deal execution teams and coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing & Sales and others on business cases and deal requirements
• Supervise and train staff, contribute to budgets and performance objectives, and implement approved policies, processes and procedures
• Design and implement tools that improve process quality and efficiency, and comply with HSE, sustainability and ADNOC Code of Practices
• Contribute to MIS and progress reports for company management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting; a Master's in Finance is a plus
• 10 years of experience in roles such as new business development, commercial/trading, growth, M&A or business model development
• Extensive financial management experience and strong strategic competence
• CPA, ACCA or CFA certification preferred
