Head - Inclusion

About the role

Aldar Education, a family of schools in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Head of Inclusion to join its growing network of schools, starting in January 2027. The role supports inclusive learning across the school, works with colleagues from other schools and outside agencies, and line manages staff who support children with special needs.

Key responsibilities

• Promote inclusion across the school at all levels and act as an exemplary classroom teacher, guiding staff on SEN and inclusion
• Line manage staff employed to support children with special needs
• Maintain accurate records, IEPs and coordinate care plans
• Review whole-school assessment data, identify priority pupils and plan programmes of work for individual needs
• Train colleagues and families, and give induction and training to the Inclusion team and Inclusion assistants
• Co-teach with class and subject teachers to deliver differentiated lessons
• Contribute to the pastoral committee, the admissions process and the transition of students with special educational needs
• Work in a curriculum action group, support school events and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers about student achievements and well-being, and comply with health and safety and school policies

Required profile

• BA in Special Education, Education or Psychology with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualifications
• At least 5 years' experience in SEN, including leading SEN/Learning Support in a primary or secondary school
• Experience working with students whose first language is not English
• Resides in the same Emirate as the assigned school
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance; offers subject to satisfactory references and police clearance
