Head of Communications and Influence

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Communications and Influence to lead the strategic communication function for a new joint‑venture start‑up in the UAE. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape public perception, drive the brand narrative and build industry authority across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communications and influence strategies aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
• Leverage audience, market and sentiment data to optimise messaging and improve performance.
• Build and maintain a high‑value network of media, government, industry and influencer contacts across the UAE and GCC.
• Monitor media performance, share of voice, reach, engagement and sentiment to inform future strategies.
• Craft compelling brand narratives and executive thought‑leadership programmes, securing speaking opportunities and editorial placements.
• Lead crisis communications, creating frameworks, response protocols and risk‑monitoring systems.
• Design and implement internal communication strategies that drive employee engagement and alignment.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, HR, Legal and Public Affairs to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Define KPIs, measure ROI of PR, content and influence campaigns and report results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs or a related field.
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering measurable communication outcomes.
• Established network of media, industry, government and influencer contacts across the GCC/Middle East.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Arabic is a plus.
