Head of Delivery - Luxury Hospitality Projects

About the role

Utopia, an ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand that designs and builds its properties in-house, is looking for a Head of Delivery to take ownership of its entire luxury construction portfolio. You will establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and the construction engineering function, and be accountable for every project from permits and approvals through execution and handover, on time, within budget and to exceptional quality. The role is fully remote with business trips, covering projects in the Middle East, Western Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery of a portfolio of high-end hospitality and luxury residential projects running in parallel, from acquisition and due diligence through planning, design, permitting, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Build and lead the PMO, setting up governance, planning, reporting, controls and performance management.
• Establish and manage the construction and engineering function, including site engineers, technical supervision, quality control and construction standards.
• Hold accountability for portfolio-wide budgets, schedules, quality, risks and resource allocation.
• Oversee contractors, cost management and high-end finishing, protecting quality and budget.
• Manage relationships with local authorities, consultants and statutory bodies to secure regulatory approvals.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, build a culture of accountability and drive corrective actions.
• Give leadership regular reporting on portfolio status, risks and escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or an equivalent field.
• 10+ years of experience in construction and development delivery, including senior responsibility for multiple projects at once.
• Proven track record delivering luxury residential and hotel/hospitality projects as a portfolio.
• Experience building or leading a PMO and a construction engineering function.
• Fluent English; Spanish is optional.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project or similar.
• Nice to have: Project Management certification and experience with high-end international projects and upscale clientele.
