Head of Executive Talent Acquisition

About the role

The Head of Executive Talent Acquisition leads the strategy and execution of hiring for C‑suite and senior leadership positions. Reporting to senior HR leadership, this role ensures critical executive roles are filled quickly, cost‑effectively, and with top talent that aligns with the organization’s vision.

Key responsibilities

• Own executive hiring delivery against scorecard targets for EXCO and N2 roles.
• Track, report and comment on hiring performance, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Drive governance, escalation, and stakeholder alignment on hiring milestones.
• Manage executive search spend, agency utilization and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive executive hiring strategy aligned with corporate goals.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential executive candidates through networking, referrals and targeted outreach.
• Partner with hiring managers and interview panels to define role requirements and evaluate candidates.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience with timely communication and feedback.
• Continuously improve sourcing channels, assessment methods and selection processes.
• Produce metrics and insights to support data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including extensive executive search.
• Proven track record of leading end‑to‑end recruitment for senior leadership in banking, financial services or other highly regulated sectors.
• Experience partnering with C‑suite executives, senior stakeholders and HR leadership.
• Strong knowledge of executive search methodologies such as direct sourcing, talent mapping and market intelligence.
