Head of Finance

About the role

An expanding financial services institution operating in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) is looking for a Head of Finance. The role reports to the Senior Executive Officer and works closely with the board of directors, stakeholders and external parties.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the firm's existing policies and procedures are followed on a daily basis.
• Ensure the firm remains fully compliant with applicable processes.
• Review the firm's accounts and finance policies and procedures periodically so they stay accurate and compliant with rules and regulations.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial records, including accurate recording, reconciliation and review of income and liabilities.
• Prepare monthly MIS reporting.
• Calculate and maintain the statement of capital adequacy and liquidity adequacy for internal and FSRA reporting purposes, and ensure adherence to financial laws and FSRA guidelines.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certified Accountant with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in financial services and within an ADGM/DIFC regulated firm.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial services products and markets, such as exchange-traded futures and options, foreign exchange and CFD-related products.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of UAE/ADGM financial regulations and their financial impact.
