Head of Finance – Lead Finance Function in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance function for a multinational corporation based in Abu Dhabi. This senior, hands‑on role will own day‑to‑day finance operations while driving improvements in reporting, processes and financial visibility across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function and manage the existing finance team.
• Own management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Review, modernise and improve financial reports, templates and processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Provide meaningful financial insight to the General Manager and senior leadership.
• Monitor business performance, identify financial and commercial risks.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and working‑capital activities.
• Oversee invoicing, collections and cash‑flow management.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve commercial and financial performance.
• Develop the finance team, creating structure, accountability and efficiency.
• Support wider transformation and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role (Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Financial Controller).
• Currently based in the UAE with experience in a complex operational environment.
• Strong management‑accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
• Proven track record of improving reporting processes and financial controls.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence to challenge senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
