Head of Financial Controlling EMEA

About the role

MAKE UP FOR EVER, part of LVMH's Perfumes & Cosmetics division, is creating a new position for a Head of Financial Controlling EMEA based in Dubai. The role leads the financial controlling function for the Middle East, Africa and Europe, working closely with teams across the region and reporting to the EMEA General Manager, alongside the Central Finance team and the Controlling Director of LVMH Beauty Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager on strategy, providing financial analysis and projections for commercial agreements and recommending cost reductions and profit improvements
• Assess performance against the annual budget and long-term strategy, and lead financial aspects of business transformation and new business opportunities
• Coordinate financial plans, business activity reports, forecasts and annual budgets, and defend assumptions and explain variances
• Ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting across the EMEA region, including P&L and balance sheet/cash, and review cost structures
• Prepare detailed financial reporting packages, budget exercises, business reviews and pre-board materials for C-level executives, and communicate regularly with HQ financial direction
• Harmonize financial controlling processes between MEA and Europe, and build a shared budget, business model and scenario tool with business and marketing teams
• Lead and develop a Finance Controlling team based in Paris, Dubai and Saudi Arabia

Required profile

• Master's degree in finance and controlling
• At least 10 years of professional experience in finance and controlling
• Experience in the Middle East and/or cosmetics/luxury industry is a strong advantage
• Fluent English and French; Arabic is an advantage but not compulsory
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a business partner mindset

• Proficiency in financial statements
• ERP and other finance reporting tools are appreciated
