Head of Financial Solutions - Cross-Border Payments

About the role

Comfi, a fintech providing working capital to SMEs across the Middle East, is looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially driven Head of Financial Solutions to build, launch and scale its cross-border payments business. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role based on-site in Dubai, covering the full end-to-end business vertical from strategy and partnerships to product launch, revenue and scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Own the business: develop and execute the cross-border payments strategy, including business model, go-to-market approach, commercial targets and P&L.
• Build banking and payment partnerships with banks, payment service providers, FX and liquidity partners and financial institutions across key markets.
• Work with Product, Engineering, Risk and Compliance to design and launch competitive cross-border payment solutions.
• Drive growth by identifying customer segments, building distribution channels, acquiring customers and developing scalable revenue streams.
• Optimize payment infrastructure: develop efficient payment corridors, improve settlement speed, manage FX economics and transaction costs.
• Oversee payment processes, partner performance, compliance requirements and operational risk management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cross-border payments, international banking, FX, remittances or B2B fintech.
• Proven experience building, launching or scaling payment products or business verticals.
• Strong commercial mindset, with experience managing revenue, unit economics and P&L.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements, AML/KYB and compliance frameworks for cross-border transactions.
• Entrepreneurial, highly independent and analytical, comfortable building from scratch in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Understanding of international payment infrastructure, correspondent banking, settlement mechanisms and FX.
• Established network of banking, PSP and financial infrastructure partners, ideally across the GCC and international markets.
