Head of Operations – Warehouse & Production

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead and optimise end‑to‑end warehouse and production activities for a large‑scale second‑hand apparel and footwear processing business in Al Hamriyah, Sharjah. The role combines strategic planning, operational execution and cost optimisation to achieve monthly throughput of 45–60 containers while maintaining high quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the full warehouse cycle from inbound receiving through sorting, grading, refurbishing, recycling, packing and dispatch.
• Ensure monthly throughput targets of 45–60 containers are consistently met.
• Optimise warehouse layout, material flow and space utilisation to maximise productivity.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of 99.5 % or higher and ensure ERP/WMS data integrity.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to drive efficiency and cost reductions.
• Prepare and manage the operational budget, monitor cost per container, and partner with Finance on forecasting and P&L reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HFZA regulations, customs, safety standards and internal policies.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors and warehouse teams, fostering a KPI‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior operations or warehouse leadership, preferably in apparel, footwear or similar high‑volume processing environments.
• Strong track record of meeting large‑scale throughput targets and managing multi‑million‑AED budgets.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage change.
