Head of Procurement

About the role

Electra is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead and support its procurement function across the GCC. The role involves driving best‑practice procurement, policy development, sourcing, negotiation and risk management while aligning with customer and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage, develop and coach the procurement team to embed a culture of excellence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, business units and clients.
• Develop and implement policies, SOPs, KPIs and performance indicators in line with standards such as CIPS, EcoVadis, ICV and ISO.
• Drive improvements in procurement processes, including handling escalations, invoicing, payables and database management.
• Reduce the supply base where possible and aggregate volumes to gain leverage.
• Define department objectives, monitor performance and ensure delivery of annual procurement targets.
• Oversee staff administration, objective setting, reviews and appraisals.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead, manage and develop procurement teams.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in policy and KPI development aligned with industry standards.
• Capability to drive process improvements and achieve cost‑saving targets.
