Head of Quantitative Strategies & Execution
MultiBank Group · Doubaï
Job description
About the role
MultiBank Exchange, part of MultiBank Group, is looking for a Head of Quantitative Strategies & Execution to build and lead its quantitative capabilities across liquidity, pricing configuration, execution and short-horizon trading research. The role is commercially focused: use high-frequency market and trading data to improve execution outcomes, reduce adverse-selection costs and support revenue growth. It sits at the intersection of quantitative research, low-latency trading technology and institutional electronic FX.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead the quantitative function, set the research and implementation roadmap, recruit and mentor the team, and partner with liquidity, technology and commercial teams.
- Analyse tick-level quotes, order-book data, client flow and execution events to understand markouts, adverse selection, latency, slippage, fill quality and liquidity-provider performance.
- Develop, test and deploy short-horizon predictive models for markouts, price movement, flow characteristics and execution quality, applying statistical and machine-learning methods where they add value.
- Design data-driven approaches to pricing optimisation, liquidity pool selection and execution/routing configuration.
- Quantify trade-offs between competitiveness, fill rates, execution quality, provider economics and platform revenue, recommending changes with clear metrics and safeguards.
- Partner with engineering on tick-data pipelines, event reconstruction, real-time analytics and low-latency model or decision services.
- Set research and deployment standards: out-of-sample validation, simulation, transaction-cost analysis, controlled rollouts, monitoring and rollback.
- Evaluate other proprietary quantitative initiatives and lead them where approved.
Required profile
- 8+ years in quantitative trading, electronic market making, systematic FX, execution research or market-microstructure roles, including leading projects or teams.
- Deep understanding of institutional electronic FX, liquidity aggregation, execution protocols and bank and non-bank liquidity providers.
- Ability to move quantitative research into production and measure its live impact.
- Strong statistics, time-series modelling and backtesting, with judgement on interpretable methods versus complex machine learning.
- Preferred: experience at an electronic market maker, HFT/MFT firm, FX venue, bank eFX desk or systematic trader; dynamic pricing, spread optimisation, order routing or predictive markout models; time-series databases, streaming data, cloud, low-latency C++ services and real-time model monitoring.
Required skills
- Advanced quantitative programming, especially Python; strong familiarity with C++, SQL and high-volume time-series data.
- FIX-based trading infrastructure is important.
- Preferred: practical use of LLM-based tools for research, code, testing and documentation, with independent verification.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
- Fast-paced environment with significant ownership and career advancement.
- Collaborative, diverse engineering culture and contribution to trading applications used worldwide.
