Head of Tendering & Contracts (MEP)

About the role

The Head of Tendering & Contracts (MEP) will lead the tendering department, taking full ownership of the process from opportunity identification to contract signature. This senior position reports to the General Manager and will succeed a retiring manager after a structured hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, guide and review a team of 5 Mechanical and Electrical Engineers preparing MEP tenders.
• Ensure tender estimates are accurate and align with actual project costs.
• Identify and pursue new high‑rise residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare, review and finalise FIDIC‑based contracts while managing contractual risk.
• Lead client negotiations through to award and sign‑off, and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, consultants and main contractors.
• Report on tender pipeline, win rate and estimate accuracy to the General Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of MEP construction experience with a strong track record in tendering and contracts.
• Extensive experience on high‑rise residential and commercial projects.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts, especially FIDIC conditions.
• Experience leading a team of engineers or estimators.
• Career stability (at least 4 years with current or previous employer) and strong client references.
• Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written.
