Head of Year – EYFS

About the role

Aldar Academies are seeking an outstanding Head of Year for the EYFS at Mamoura British Academy, commencing January 2027. The role combines teaching across the Primary English National Curriculum with strong leadership of a year‑group team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and line‑manage a team of teachers and teaching assistants, ensuring performance against UAE Professional Teacher Standards.
• Plan, deliver and assess innovative, purposeful lessons for the whole ability range, including support for EAL and additional learning needs.
• Promote pastoral care, wellbeing and behaviour management in line with school policies.
• Contribute to school-wide vision, strategic direction, professional development and monitoring processes.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience teaching the English National Curriculum, with a Bachelor degree in Education or related field and PGCE or equivalent.
• Strong communicator and collaborative team player who can build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, preferably with prior leadership experience.
• Commitment to high standards, continuous professional development and the values of the region.
