Head of Year – Primary Teacher

About the role

Aldar Academies is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to take on the Head of Year position at Mamoura British Academy, a mixed‑gender British‑curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, starting August 2026. The role combines classroom teaching with year‑group leadership, pastoral care and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the year‑group team, organising meetings, planning and ensuring clear communication.
• Deliver engaging lessons across the Primary English National Curriculum, catering for the full ability range.
• Provide targeted support for EAL learners and students with additional learning needs.
• Oversee pastoral care, wellbeing procedures and monitoring of student progress.
• Line‑manage teachers and teaching assistants, ensuring compliance with UAE Professional Teacher Standards.
• Contribute to school‑wide strategic vision, quality assurance and professional development programmes.
