Head Waiter / Head Waitress – French Speaker

About the role

One&Only The Palm in Dubai is seeking a bilingual Head Waiter/Head Waitress who speaks French to lead its restaurant service team. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of hospitality, create memorable guest experiences, and uphold the resort’s brand image.

Key responsibilities

• Present yourself with energy and professionalism to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Prepare and verify all mise‑en‑place before service begins.
• Process food and beverage orders within resort‑defined timeframes while displaying genuine hospitality.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge of all menu items and beverage offerings.
• Ensure the restaurant’s design, layout, and equipment reflect the resort’s image.
• Delegate tasks to service staff, supervise performance, and motivate the team.
• Stay informed about resort events, guest arrivals, and departures to anticipate needs.
• Report any incidents or breakages according to standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Fluent French language skills, both spoken and written.
• Extensive experience in upscale food‑and‑beverage service, preferably in a resort or luxury hotel.
• Proven leadership ability to supervise and develop a service team.
• Strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a fast‑paced environment.
