Healthcare Assistant – UAEN (Al Foah – Al Ain)

About the role

Under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff, the Healthcare Assistant provides safe and timely care to adult patients who do not require critical or high‑dependency care at our Al Foah location in Al Ain.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting and feeding.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including patient transfers and mobility support, based on competency.
• Measure and record basic vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) as delegated.
• Provide assistive care to tracheostomized patients under RN direction.
• Support patients during physical, occupational or speech therapy sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, stock supplies and ensure equipment is cleaned.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and nursing staff, maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Ability to work under supervision of registered nursing staff.
• Comfort with caring for adult patients not requiring critical care.
• Capability to perform manual handling and basic clinical observations.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and data privacy.
• Willingness to identify and report opportunities for improvement.
