Heating And Air Conditioning Engineer

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Dubai involves designing, reviewing and optimizing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial and residential projects. The engineer will ensure comfort, energy efficiency and compliance with UAE codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC layouts, calculations and technical drawings using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with architects, designers and consultants to integrate HVAC solutions.
• Coordinate with contractors during installation, testing, commissioning and hand-over.
• Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee maintenance and repair activities for residential HVAC systems.
• Contribute to value-engineering studies and energy-efficient design alternatives.
• Produce technical reports, operation and maintenance manuals and as-built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong foundation in HVAC principles, load calculations, equipment selection and system sizing.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC design and CAD software.
• Practical knowledge of installation oversight, testing, commissioning and maintenance of residential systems.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, safety regulations and energy-efficiency standards for MEP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, time-management and communication skills.
