About the role
Waagner Biro Bridge Services is seeking a safety‑focused Heavy Duty Driver to transport workers, materials and equipment between construction sites across Dubai. The role demands strict adherence to safety protocols, reliable vehicle operation and effective communication with team members and clients.
Key responsibilities
- Operate buses and trailers safely, ensuring all passengers use seat belts and loads are properly secured.
- Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of mileage, fuel consumption, incidents and delays.
- Follow UAE traffic laws, company policies and speed limits at all times.
- Plan efficient routes, manage time to meet delivery schedules, and handle unexpected road conditions.
- Respond promptly to mechanical issues or roadside emergencies, arranging assistance when required.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and identify potential problems before they become critical.
Required profile
- Valid commercial driver’s licence (CDL) with heavy‑vehicle endorsement and UAE driving licence (Category 4 & 6).
- Minimum 5 years of experience driving large or heavy‑duty vehicles in a professional environment.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and UAE safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
