Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Immediate Start)

About the role

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will support Al Ain British Academy in delivering high‑quality education to UAE national students. This full‑time, onsite position starts immediately and offers the chance to join a respected school community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the school in achieving its vision and strategic goals as outlined in the improvement plan.
• Comply with health, safety, equal opportunity, and school policies, including dress code and computer use.
• Participate in annual training on child protection, safeguarding, and health & safety.
• Develop an understanding of each student’s Additional Educational Needs (AEN) or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Provide tailored support to ensure students can access lesson content, using appropriate clarification, equipment, and materials.
• Build respectful relationships, reinforce learning, promote independence, and help students develop study and organisational skills.
• Assist students with physical needs, record work accurately, keep them on task, and boost confidence and self‑esteem.
