Homeroom Teacher (Cycle 1) – Al Mushrif

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Homeroom Teacher for Cycle 1 (Grades 1‑2) at its Al Mushrif campus. The successful candidate will deliver the British National Curriculum (EYFS/Key Stage 1) or equivalent international programmes to young learners aged 5‑8.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the chosen curriculum.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative data and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Integrate educational technology such as interactive whiteboards and online learning platforms into daily teaching.
• Maintain accurate records in the student information system.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and support EAL learners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject plus a recognized teaching licence.
• 2‑3 years of full‑time primary teaching experience, preferably with British or American curricula.
• Experience in an international school setting and familiarity with ADEK licensing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• High proficiency with interactive whiteboards.
• Competence in G Suite for Education and Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience using online learning platforms and student information systems.
• Ability to analyse assessment data to inform instruction.
