Hostess - 25hours Hotel One Central, Dubai

About the role

The 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai is looking for a Hostess. The hotel brings Bedouin traditions into a contemporary setting, with a view of the Museum of the Future near the Dubai International Financial Center. The Hostess greets guests, manages seating and reservations and keeps the host stand ready during service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and engage each guest in a polished, confident and upbeat manner, aligned with the 25hours tone of voice.
• Manage guest seating, flow and table allocations based on reservations and walk-ins, ensuring fairness and efficiency across service sections.
• Accommodate special guest requests and communicate with the service team so expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menus, special events, seating arrangements and guest preferences.
• Handle guest complaints, feedback and queries professionally, resolving them or escalating when appropriate.
• Stay at the host stand at all times during service and keep the reception and entrance areas clean and organised.
• Manage reservations in the restaurant system, including inputting, updating and reviewing guest data and seating plans, and confirm guest counts and preferences.
• Answer phone calls promptly, assist with inquiries and record messages or bookings accurately.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, service and bar teams to keep service pace and timing in line with guest volume.
• Perform side duties such as updating seating charts, polishing menus and helping with menu distribution.
• Follow grooming and uniform standards, and comply with fire, health, safety, hygiene and licensing requirements.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Preferably six months to one year of previous serving experience; prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand guest requests and hold small employee meetings.
• Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests and to handle customer complaints positively.
• Teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect.
• Additional languages preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including staffing levels, service equipment and guest relations.
• Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
