Hostess - All Day Dining

About the role

The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai is hiring a hostess for its All Day Dining restaurant. The role covers greeting guests, seating them and keeping the dining room tidy and safe throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and find out the size of their party.
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu in front of them.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and give any needed assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs and settings, and organise seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure place settings are appropriate, with a napkin, clean silverware and other standard items.
• Check menus are current, clean and plentiful, and keep work areas clean as you go.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest wellbeing.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions to the manager, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, keep proprietary information confidential and answer phones with good etiquette.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods and to lift up to 10 pounds without assistance.
