Hostess – Front of House Guest Host

About the role

The Host/Hostess welcomes guests, manages front‑of‑house flow and creates a polished first impression in line with the Food & Beverage Group standards. This position is the first point of contact, handling reservations, waitlists and seating coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests warmly, acknowledge departing guests courteously, and maintain a professional demeanor during busy periods.
• Manage reservations, walk‑ins and waitlists using approved booking systems, provide accurate wait‑time guidance and support table allocation.
• Answer guest phone calls and enquiries, escort guests to tables, present menus and communicate special requests to the service team.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area, uphold grooming and punctuality standards, and keep reservation records accurate.

Required profile

• 1–3 years experience in a host/hostess, reception or front‑of‑house role within hospitality, restaurant, café or hotel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, confident guest‑facing manner.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and professional under pressure during busy service periods.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
