Hostess – Luxury Hotel (Dubai Palm Jumeirah)

About the role

The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah is seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to welcome guests and support the food & beverage operations. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, manage bookings and respond to guest enquiries following SOPs.
• Greet guests, escort them to their tables, and present menus and wine lists.
• Introduce the assigned waiter and ensure the station is prepared.
• Maintain the host/ess desk, logbook, and reservation diary accurately.
• Allocate daily bookings to the table plan and keep menus and memos ready for each service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menus and wine lists to answer guest questions.
• Comply with licensing, health, safety and fire regulations.
• Ensure adequate supplies of checks, printer rolls and keep the desk organized.

Required profile

• Previous guest service experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or international setting.
• Warm, attentive personality with a smart, presentable appearance.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Resilient, accountable and able to work under pressure.
• Commitment to delivering high levels of guest service.
