Hostess – Outside Catering

About the role

The Hostess – Outside Catering will be the first point of contact for guests attending our hotel’s catering events. You will ensure a welcoming atmosphere, smooth seating flow, and uphold the high service standards of JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and seat them by arranging tables, pulling chairs and presenting clean menus.
• Guide guests through the dining area, provide assistance, and ensure each place setting includes a napkin, clean silverware and any required items.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures and monitoring dining rooms for safety and guest well‑being.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance, answer telephone calls with proper etiquette, and communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift, carry or move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, follow procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10 lb.
