Hostess - Prime 68

About the role

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, a 5-star hotel in the downtown district, is hiring a hostess for its Prime 68 restaurant. The role covers greeting guests, seating them and keeping the dining room tidy and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and find out how many are in their party
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu in front of them
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and give any needed assistance
• Arrange tables, chairs and settings, and organise seating for groups with special needs
• Check that place settings are appropriate and that each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other standard items
• Check that menus are current, clean and plentiful, and keep work areas clean throughout the day
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest wellbeing
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, keep proprietary information confidential and answer phones with good etiquette

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods and to lift up to 10 pounds
