Hostess / Receptionist for Busy Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hostess/Receptionist to join our fast‑paced restaurant team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling reservations, greeting visitors, and ensuring a smooth dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and verbally explain the outlet’s concept, menu, promotions, and special offers.
• Answer phone calls with proper etiquette, record guest details, and manage reservations via phone, email, online platforms, and in‑person.
• Update the reservation system with accurate table counts, reconfirm bookings, and coordinate seating plans with management.
• Perform billing tasks according to restaurant policies when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including bathrooms, and report any issues.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors to avoid misunderstand‑related errors.
• Assist with service duties such as order taking, table clearing, and food serving when needed.
• Uphold grooming and appearance standards to reflect professionalism.
• Create “wow” moments for guests through attentive service and friendly interaction.

Required profile

• High school qualification or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a hostess in a high‑volume, fast‑pace restaurant.
• Strong English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient use of reservation and booking systems.
• Excellent phone etiquette and written communication.
