Hotel Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

The Hotel Maintenance Mechanic will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently within the JW Marriott property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections of tools, equipment and building systems.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities to subsequent shifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and HVAC plans to conduct complex repairs.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work and follow all safety policies.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with vocational/technical background.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and perform physical tasks on stairs, ladders and service ramps.
