Hotel Mechanic – Guest Repair & Maintenance

About the role

The Hotel Mechanic responds to guest repair requests, performs preventive maintenance, and ensures all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently within the JW Marriott property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections of tools, equipment and machinery.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves, maintain inventory, and requisition parts as needed.
• Conduct complex repairs on MEP systems, air‑conditioning, refrigeration, pool heaters and other hotel equipment while following lockout/tagout procedures.
• Document daily activities, shift hand‑overs and use engineering computer programs for maintenance and energy management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with vocational/technical background.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance.
