Hotel Mechanic – Maintenance & Engineering

About the role

The Hotel Mechanic is responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently within the property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections of tools, equipment and machinery.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves, and use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Conduct complex repairs on HVAC, refrigeration, pool heaters, electrical, plumbing and kitchen equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards and local codes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with vocational/technical training.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance.
