Hotel Mechanic – Maintenance & Engineering

About the role

The Hotel Mechanic is responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently within the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves; use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and communicate daily activities to subsequent shifts.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with vocational/technical training.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to work independently, lift up to 50 lb, and navigate stairs, ladders, and service ramps.
