Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead daily housekeeping operations across the hospital, ensuring a clean, safe and hygienic environment that meets JCI and infection‑control standards. The role also drives sustainable practices and efficient resource use.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule housekeeping staff, assigning areas and monitoring performance.
• Maintain compliance with JCIA, infection‑control codes and waste‑management regulations.
• Manage inventories of linens, supplies, chemicals and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Conduct periodic and special cleaning assignments and ensure equipment is safely stored.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate staff, providing feedback and recognition.
• Promote environmentally sustainable housekeeping practices, including water, energy and chemical use.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Facilities Management or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive housekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of JCI standards, infection‑control practices and hospital housekeeping operations.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work with diverse nationalities.
