HR Manager – School Experience

About the role

The International Community Schools (ICS) in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead its human‑resources function within a private school environment. The role will ensure compliance with UAE labour legislation, support staff development and help build a high‑performance, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws and educational regulations.
• Oversee employee records, contracts, leave, attendance and HR reporting.
• Assist school leadership with workforce planning and HR‑related decision making.
• Handle employee concerns and disciplinary matters confidentially and professionally.
• Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture and support staff development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven HR management experience in a school or educational institution.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic proficiency preferred.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.
