HSE Assistant – Safety & Environment Support

About the role

The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Assistant will support the HSE department in Abu Dhabi by assisting the HSE Engineer with safety assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and incident investigations. This role ensures that safety guidelines and environmental policies are effectively implemented across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Engineer in safety assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, critical facility reviews and process hazard analysis.
• Support safety audits, site visits and environmental assessments.
• Conduct risk assessments evaluating severity, likelihood, exposure and frequency, and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement safety processes and measures.
• Help manage accidents and investigations, gathering incident details, near‑misses and trends.
• Record and report hazardous conditions and environmental issues.
• Maintain accident data and statistics for company‑wide reporting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; professional diploma or certification in Occupational HSE, Process Safety or Risk Management.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi.
