HSE Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support senior site leadership in establishing and managing health, safety and environmental processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior construction representatives on ESHARP and Parsons SH&E processes, identifying and controlling hazards.
• Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training and orientation aligned with ADOSH‑SF and ISO standards.
• Audit projects and worksites, produce written reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and trend reporting.
• Supervise emergency response and first‑aid teams, and represent management during regulatory inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, environmental or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of construction safety management experience in the Middle East, including at least 2 years as an OSH Engineer/Manager.
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification and recognized OSH qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, NVQ).
• Valid UAE driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi health and safety regulations, including ADOSH‑SF.
• Construction safety management and incident investigation expertise.
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor competency.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence.
