HSE Inspector – Ajman

About the role

The Health & Safety Inspector will support the QHSE lead in implementing and maintaining quality, health, safety and environmental systems for a key client in Ajman. You will work closely with site teams to promote a safety‑first mindset and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the QHSE lead in implementing and maintaining QHSE systems across projects.
• Verify compliance with legislation, rules and system requirements related to health, safety, environment and quality.
• Participate in regular QHSE project meetings and provide expert advice to client projects.
• Review, comment on and follow up QHSE site reports, raising issues to Delivery Management and client QHSE Lead as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate in engineering (Civil or Architecture) with accredited health and safety qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or similar).
• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience, preferably in the UAE construction sector.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proven ability to conduct system audits and write/review QHSE procedures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience conducting system audits.
• Site inspection and measurement techniques for construction activities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and other business productivity tools.
