HSE Inspector (TBM)

About the role

Under direct supervision, the HSE Inspector (TBM) performs basic and routine duties across a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to ensure compliance with ES&H standards and local regulations. The role supports the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs on major infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
• Monitor workplace hazards and potential disease exposures.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and hazard‑related complaints.
• Recommend improvements to processes, designs, procedures and equipment to minimise risks.
• Participate in employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance of HSE programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of HSE experience on large infrastructure construction projects.
• Mandatory experience with tunnelling methods (TBM, NATM, Cut & Cover or similar).
• Experience in viaduct/elevated structure construction (advantageous).
• Proven background in high‑speed rail, railway, metro or rail‑infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and hazard identification techniques.
• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
