HSE Officer

About the role

Worley Parsons is seeking an HSE Officer to support the health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) objectives of a major EPC project in the United Arab Emirates. The role will provide leadership, ensure compliance with HSSE standards, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure HSSEQ goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
• Guide the project’s HSSE Management System implementation and integration into overall execution strategy.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance to guarantee HSSE objectives are achieved.
• Lead PMC HSSE resources, EPC contractor teams, and subcontractors in safety activities.
• Champion project safety culture, behaviours and engagement initiatives.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve HSSE issues during the EPC phase.
• Coordinate with PMC construction engineers on HSSE‑related tasks.
• Verify that HSSE procedures are established, maintained and applied by the EPC contractor.
• Witness HSSE audits, NCRs and observations, and report findings to project management.
• Ensure EPC contractor’s HSSE personnel are qualified and that HSSE records are properly maintained.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of relevant HSSE experience as indicated in the posting.
• Ability to lead HSSE activities and collaborate with EPC contractors and project teams.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
