HVAC Technician

About the role

The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, and refrigeration equipment across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air‑quality control, and refrigeration equipment including boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
• Test and record water quality in boiler and condenser systems, add chemicals as needed, and operate valves to control water, combustion air, and fuel flow.
• Carry out minor plumbing and mechanical works for HVAC systems, monitor BMS terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms and safety devices.
• Maintain a clean, safe engineering area, coordinate with other engineering staff, and participate in departmental meetings and training.
• Support energy‑conservation programmes, adhere to hotel and corporate SOPs, attend safety and fire training, and document all work performed.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced hotel environment and collaborate with engineering and banquet teams.
• Commitment to safety, emergency response, and continuous improvement through TQM processes.
• Willingness to uphold high hospitality standards and guest‑service orientation.

Required skills

• HVAC system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Refrigeration system servicing, including charging and coil cleaning.
• Boiler and chiller operation, water‑quality testing, and chemical treatment.
• Basic plumbing and mechanical repair for HVAC equipment.
• BMS monitoring and control of valves, gauges, and safety devices.
