HVAC Technician

About the role

An HVAC technician is needed to install, maintain and troubleshoot heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across client sites in the UAE, including commercial buildings, residential properties, offices and retail outlets. The role covers installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test and commission HVAC systems such as air conditioners, chillers, AHUs, FCUs and ventilation systems, including refrigerant piping, copper pipes, ductwork and drainage lines.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, clean and replace filters, coils, fans and belts, and fix equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults, repair compressors, motors, thermostats, sensors and control systems, and check and recharge refrigerant safely.
• Inspect chilled water systems, pumps, valves, piping, insulation and condensate drainage, and check air temperature, pressure and airflow.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdown calls at client sites, and explain technical issues to clients.
• Prepare maintenance checklists, service reports, inspection records and equipment condition reports, and report major faults and spare part needs to the supervisor.
• Follow HSE policies, risk assessments and PPE use, and comply with UAE regulations and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• ITI, diploma or equivalent technical qualification in HVAC, refrigeration or mechanical engineering.
• Practical experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of split ACs, package units, ducted ACs, AHUs, FCUs and chilled water systems.
• Ability to read HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
• UAE driving licence and UAE experience in facility management, MEP maintenance or technical services are preferred.
