Hygiene Officer – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a Hygiene Officer to ensure that all food and beverage operations at our luxury hotel meet the highest hygiene and food safety standards. The role involves supervising daily practices, providing training, and acting as a technical advisor on food handling and product labeling.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate food operations to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Advise staff on proper food handling practices and deliver food hygiene training for new hires and trainees.
• Identify risk areas in food operations and implement pre‑emptive corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance on product labeling to meet government requirements.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Follow company safety policies, report maintenance issues, accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential and company assets.
• Address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or Culinary from an accredited institution.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in food safety or hygiene.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
