Purchasing Clerk – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Clerk to support the Purchasing Manager at Six Senses The Palm. You will help ensure that all procurement activities align with Six Senses standards and sustainability guidelines while maintaining high-quality stock for our luxury hospitality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Purchasing Manager in applying Six Senses purchasing guidelines.
• Assess vendors and market conditions to select appropriate suppliers.
• Support ordering, stock takes, and storage to guarantee correct quantity, quality, and compliance with standards.
• Implement a transparent vendor vetting process and enforce sustainability and Eat With Six Senses policies.
• Engage with local farmers, bakers, and fishermen, conducting purchasing trips to develop community suppliers before considering larger vendors.
• Manage cash float and receipt control for local market transactions.
• Visit vendor distribution or processing sites annually.
• Recommend system improvements and identify hardware/software needs.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, contractual obligations, security, safety protocols, and communication standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar purchasing role within luxury hotels.
