ICT Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated ICT Teacher to deliver the curriculum to students in Dubai. You will plan and conduct engaging lessons, adapt resources for diverse learning styles, and support the overall academic development of learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the required ICT curriculum, ensuring up‑to‑date subject knowledge.
• Plan and deliver quality lessons that motivate students and cater to different learning styles.
• Create and utilise appropriate teaching materials and maintain a conducive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records of curriculum plans, attendance, resources, assessments and other required documentation.
• Follow GEMS policies, procedures and codes of conduct at all times.
• Teach students with varied needs, including ESL, low academic ability, gifted and talented, and late‑entering learners.
• Set, mark, assess and report on student work to monitor progress and attainment.
• Integrate media and technology effectively within classroom instruction.
• Promote student well‑being and provide guidance on educational matters.
• Participate in, and where appropriate lead, co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programmes and assist in organising school events.

Required profile

• Regular Bachelor’s degree in Computer/IT or a related field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in ICT or a relevant subject.
• Strong knowledge of current technologies and ability to apply them in teaching.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with students and colleagues.
• Commitment to GEMS safeguarding policies and to creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.
