About the role
Support supplier development and industrialization activities for POWERTECH propulsion programs, including turbofan, microjet and piston engines. This early‑career position combines structured engineering tasks with hands‑on exposure to aerospace manufacturing through supplier‑site work, data analysis and support for assessments and readiness gates.
Key responsibilities
- Collect technical data and observations during supplier process assessments and site visits.
- Assist in preparing supplier assessment reports, development actions and gate evidence.
- Track development actions and maintain status records.
- Prepare work instructions, manufacturing routings and operation sheets.
- Conduct time studies, cycle‑time measurements and gather manufacturing data.
- Support process capability studies and measurement‑data analysis.
- Collect capacity data and contribute to capacity models.
- Draft technical reports, presentations and status updates.
- Review supplier manufacturing documentation for completeness.
- Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP readiness.
- Participate in first‑off part reviews and process‑validation activities.
- Support root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action tracking.
- Coordinate activities between suppliers, Engineering, Supply Chain and Product Quality Engineering.
- Develop technical competence in machining, sheet‑metal fabrication and aerospace manufacturing processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
- 0–3 years of experience; internships or graduate placements are a plus.
- Foundational understanding of machining and sheet‑metal manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings with basic GD&T knowledge.
- Familiarity with inspection, non‑conformance and root‑cause analysis.
- Strong data‑analysis and technical‑reporting capability.
- Willingness to spend significant time on manufacturing shop floors and supplier sites.
- High learning orientation and ability to work effectively with external manufacturing partners.
