Industrialization & Supplier Development Engineer II

About the role

We are seeking an Industrialization & Supplier Development Engineer II to lead supplier development and industrialization activities for POWERTECH turbofan, microjet and piston engine programs. The role involves assessing supplier capabilities, executing development plans, and providing on‑site technical support while building expertise in core manufacturing commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier process assessments covering manufacturing methods, equipment, tooling, metrology and process controls.
• Prepare technical assessment reports and define supplier development actions.
• Execute and track development plans through closure, supporting work instructions, routings and CNC program control.
• Perform time studies, cycle‑time analysis, equipment‑utilisation assessments and capacity studies.
• Support APQP deliverables, including process flows, PFMEA and control plans.
• Review supplier manufacturing documentation, prepare gate evidence and ensure FAI/PPAP readiness.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for machining and sheet‑metal process issues and participate in 8D/root‑cause investigations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Product Quality Engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering, industrialization, supplier quality or supplier development.
• Hands‑on experience in machining or sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with aerospace alloys and regular supplier‑site travel.

Required skills

• APQP, PPAP, FAI (AS9102) and PFMEA knowledge.
• Control‑plan development and process‑capability analysis.
• GD&T and technical drawing interpretation.
• CAD/CAM and CNC programming exposure.
• 8D structured problem‑solving.
• Understanding of AS9100 standards.
• Machining and sheet‑metal fabrication techniques.
• Time‑study and cycle‑time analysis.
