Information Security Specialist

About the role

You will join a major regional enterprise operating at the intersection of the marine and energy sectors in the Middle East. Reporting to the ICT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day cybersecurity operations and continuously improving the organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Review security logs, monitor alerts and coordinate follow‑ups with the managed SOC and internal ICT teams.
• Track vulnerability scan results, schedule remediation with system owners and maintain status trackers.
• Support incident triage, evidence collection, escalation and post‑incident documentation.
• Assist in maintaining EDR, SIEM, email security, DLP, firewalls, MFA and conduct periodic identity/access reviews.
• Prepare audit evidence, compliance dashboards and help implement security baselines such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Controls.
• Help with security awareness communications, track simulated phishing campaigns and provide guidance to users.

Required profile

• UAE national (family book preferred) with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in information security operations, SOC support, vulnerability or patch management.
• Familiarity with core security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls) and local data‑protection requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with EDR, SIEM, DLP, firewalls, MFA and IAM solutions.
• Hands‑on vulnerability scanning, patch management and system hardening.
• Knowledge of security baselines and audit evidence preparation.
