Infrastructure Engineer – Hosting & Managed Services

About the role

Join InterSystems' hosting team to design, deploy, and operate high‑availability, high‑performance, and secure hosted solutions for global clients. You will work across the full lifecycle of infrastructure, from rack layout design to 24x7 operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with co‑location partners to design cage, rack and server layouts, ensuring adequate power and cooling.
• Work with engineering and architecture teams to optimise performance, efficiency and operability of hosted solutions.
• Lead or assist in provisioning, building and configuring servers, network gear, firewalls, switches and storage.
• Perform hardware qualification testing and certify new platforms for production.
• Deploy applications, patches and TrakCare releases, documenting all service components.
• Administer and maintain hosted infrastructure, including backup management and proactive incident prevention.
• Define, implement and improve ITIL‑based processes (incident, change, problem, configuration management).
• Monitor metrics, report on service availability and participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Experience with server and network hardware deployment in data‑center environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and operational best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional technical teams and external partners.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to improve automation.
