Inspector - Civil/Finishes

About the role

AECOM is looking for an Inspector - Civil/Finishes to work on architectural engineering projects. The role covers monitoring and reporting on architectural works, finishes and building components, ensuring they comply with the inspection plan, drawings, codes and specifications, and liaising with contractors, the client and the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor that architectural engineering aspects follow the inspection plan, drawings, codes and specifications, and report on progress
• Liaise with the Senior Architectural Engineer and other engineers and managers, and with contractors to expedite submissions, approvals and NOCs from authorities
• Review contractor documents and shop drawings, and flag issues affecting stability or function of architectural components
• Monitor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan and inspect architectural finishes, structures and materials against shop drawings and specifications
• Issue NCRs to contractors, coordinate corrective actions and maintain accurate inspection reports
• Maintain site records including daily diaries, monthly progress photos and records of submittals and tests
• Assist in expediting client approvals and take part in HSE-related matters, training and meetings
• Perform all work in line with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual and assist with inspection of completed works

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Architecture
• At least 8 years of overall experience in construction supervision with a consultancy, including a minimum of 5 years in the UAE
• Experience on architectural-type projects
